The Tearoom serves morning coffee, wholefood vegetarian lunches and afternoon teas.
Milltours
There are Guided Tours of the Mill at 2pm and 3:30pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays. The charge is £3.50 per adult; £1.50 per child and a Family Rate of £8. (2 Adults & 2 Children). At other times you can still see the mill (providing there is a member of staff in the mill) and self-guide (£2 for first person, £1 for each other visitor) with our printed mini-guide.
NB The Mill is not usually open for tours or self-guide tours on Wednesdays or Saturdays, except by prior arrangement.
Disabled Access
The Tearoom and Millshop and the ground floor of the Mill are accessible for people using wheelchairs with assistance. There is a disabled toilet.
School Parties & Group Visits

We welcome school parties and other group visits. The visit can include a Tour of the Mill, a Breadmaking Demonstration, Refreshments and an opportunity for everyone to make their own bread to take away. Please contact us for more details...and go to our "Education" page (link at bottom) for full details. The charge is £3.50/ child including VAT for a milltour, breadmaking demo and hands-on session.
Evening Visits To The Watermill
We welcome groups for evening visits and can offer the following options: Bread/Baking Demonstration, Tour of Mill, Tea or Coffee and a Scone, with a Baby Loaf of Bread to take away or as above but with a Vegetarian Supper (Mushroom or Onion Quiche, Salad, Roll & Butter, plus Fruit Pie or a Summer Sweet with Cream and Tea or Coffee). The minimum size for any one group is 10, maximum 35. We require a 25% deposit with your booking, which is non-returnable in the event of cancellation.

Little Salkeld is 6 miles North East of Penrith in Cumbria, North West England, and 20 miles south of the Scottish Border.
By car: 1.5 miles from Langwathby off the A686 Penrith-Alston road. 6 miles from the M6 Junction 40.
By rail: Langwathby Station is 1.5 miles away (Settle-Carlisle Line). Penrith Station is 6 miles away (West Coast Mainline).
By cycle: We are on the Cumbrian Cycleway and the Sustrans C2C Coast to Coast Route.
