SPAB Mills Conservation Award 2009

We're delighted to announce that Little Salkeld Watermill was awarded the SPAB  (Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings) Mills Section Conservation Award 2009. The Mill was unable to receive the award personally, but was represented at a special presentation at Belvoir Castle where SPAB Mills Section vice chairman James Waterfield presented a plaque to Nick Jones.

Questionnaire Winner Announced

We're delighted to announce that Ian Morley from Gosforth, Newcastle upon Tyne, has won a £50 Watermill Gift Voucher as a result of completing the "mini questionnaire" we invited visitors to the tearoom to complete earlier this year. We asked visitors how they heard about the mill. The results confirmed our thinking - 33% of visitors hear about us through recommendations from friends and family; 12% are just passing; 20% from our publicity in various places; 15% are looking us up after a visit some time ago. read more »

Watermill "Highly Commended" in the Cumbria Tourism Taste of Cumbria Awards 2009, and shortlisted in the Most Valuable Volunteer category

We're delighted to have received this accolade - great recognition of the quality of food we offer here in the Tearoom and our Bread and flour, of course! Our congratulations to Low Sizergh Barn Farm Shop for winning the Taste of Cumbria top award - very well deserved and great that two of Cumbria's organic champions have been recognised for the quality of our food.

Here's a rare sight of Nick in a suit and tie, with Ana, compre Ted Robbins, and sponsor CheethamBellJWT.
