Welcome to our continuing 2010 Children’s Workshop Programme with Kate and Ana.
JULY Tues 27th Look at birds that are around the mill and then make your own 3D bird using fabrics and decoration.
Wed 28th Imaginary Animals
Using your imagination, make a collage of an animal using scraps of material, buttons and simple sewing.
Thurs 29th Breadmaking Make some bread buns using the flour from the mill, learn about grain and see the mill working.
AUGUST Tues 3rd & Wed 4th Slippers Over 2 mornings, make a pair of cosy slippers using felt making.
Thurs 5th Making a cake and biscuits with vegetables in! You may not be a huge fan of vegetables but I don’t think you will even know there are vegetables in these!
Tues 10th Cut, Stick and Draw Thinking about summertime we will make pictures and collages – if you have any pieces of paper which remind you of summer please bring them along!
Wed 11th Moon, Stars and Planets Thinking about the Solar System – Cutting and glueing to make a mobile for your bedroom, perhaps even a rocket or spaceship!
Tues 17th & Wed 18th Make a Rag Doll This is a two morning course making a rag doll and dressing it.
Thurs 19th Biscuit Making Spend the morning making all sorts of biscuits.
Tues 24th Make a Summer Felt Picture We will have a look around outside the mill to get some inspiration for the picture.
Wed 25th Finger Puppets We will make two simple puppets – one for each hand – so they can talk to each other or do a performance together! Thurs 26th Pastry Making Pastry is very simple to make and having made the cases they can be filled with all sorts of yummy mixtures! OCTOBER Tues 26th Make a recycled necklace...It's amazing what you can do with recycled materials.
Wed 27th Felt Scarf making Have an exciting morning making and decorating a scarf with stripes and spots to keep you warm in the cold winter weather.

DECEMBER
Sat 18th Christmas Biscuits We will make some biscuits with holes in to hang on your Christmas Tree (if you don’t eat them first!) Also flapjacks and something chocolaty.
Sun 19th Christmas Decorations Make something to hang on your tree – Perhaps your Mum and Dad will keep getting it out year after year… how embarrassing!
